I am Junay Armit and welcome to my website.
Allow me to tell you just a little bit more about myself and my business...
I am the owner, the makeup artist and photographer of my own business - as I am sure you already figured this out from my self-explanatory business name.
The main reason why I decided on using my name as my brand is solely because I wanted this to not just be a business but a personal service and journey with all the incredible people that I get to work with.
And most importantly,
officially putting my name to my business, holds me personally accountable to deliver a service of exceptional quality to all my clients that I have booked.
When you make a booking with me, you can rest assure, that I will deliver the same quality service to you, that I'd expect if I were in your shoes as the client. (And I am a bit of a perfectionist who loves paying attention to detail, just so you know....)
So that's the business side of things.
I am all of the above, and I am also a Mom to a bubbly, energetic 4 year old toddler named Jonah Ross Armit. Together with my handsome husband Ross - who has so lovingly sacrificed the move to S.A from Scotland - we are raising our beautiful boy in Port Elizabeth where I was born. In our household we are a proud blend of cultures, accents, and personalities who have been intertwined by destiny and love.
I am also an internationally qualified beauty therapist. I obtained my 3 year Diploma at Total Concept Academy in Port Elizabeth where I worked at multiple beauty spas in P.E during my studies.
From there I set off into the sunset (no literally). I worked abroad, onboarded a 6 star cruise ship (Silver Cloud) as a beauty and massage therapist. I did an additional 6 star service training course with a cruise line company called Steiner.
I had the opportunity to work with clients from all around the world on a daily basis. I even got the chance do daily beauty treatments on the USA NBA and WNBA teams during the Olympics in Rio.
While sailing the seas and travelling the world, I also met my husband ashore in Barcelona one beautiful night. And this was also where we got engaged 2 months later. (quick, I know.. but when you know you've met the one... Say Yes! I did)
Fast forward 3 years later... We are now happily married and I am living my dream, with my family and running my own bespoke business of makeup, photography and film.
The beauty in people and their stories has always been a love of mine. It's what inspires me daily and I have always been drawn to it.
Makeup Artistry, Photography & Film allows me to be apart of enhancing, creating and capturing the beauty in people and their stories.
I Believe in faith, God and destiny.
